The Asia Oceania Bowls Confederation (AOBC) held a virtual meeting today September 12, 2026 with the participation of its board members and invited guests to discuss key developments and upcoming activities across the region.
The meeting was attended by AOBC President Antonio Biancacci, Secretary General Dr. Jasem Manouchehri, 1st Vice President Junto Ohki, 2nd Vice President Allee Zain, as well as Frank Funari (Australia), Mayur Patil (India) and Tommy Fung (Hong Kong).
The agenda included preparations for the 2026 World Championships, with Hong Kong and Australia representing the AOBC region, confirmation of the 2027 Asia Oceania Championships in China, membership fee payments, and the planning of coaching and officiating courses for 2026 and 2027.
The meeting also discussed the election arrangements for the AOBC for 2028, a proposal to the CBI regarding cooperation with the Organizing Committee of the 2028 World Nomad Games, and the growing interest of new Central Asian nations in joining the Confederation.
The Board also reviewed other matters related to the development and strengthening of bowls sports across the Asia Oceania region.
