The first Iran Open West and Central Asia Bowls Championships for Doubles Men Women, hosted by Iran in Kermanshah City, was successfully held under the leadership of Dr. Jasem Manouchehri, President of the IPBA and CBI ExCom Member, and under the supervision of the AOBC, during February 10-14, 2025. In this event, which was a part of the main program of the International Humanitarian Games as our partner organization, participants from 12 countries which 5 of them came from west and central zone (Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan) competed in different sport disciplines, and in the bocce discipline, Iran national team in men’s doubles won gold and bronze medal and the silver medal went to the Afghanistan team who experienced their first ever international Bocce competition. In Women’s doubles, all medals went to the host country.

The presence of international and Asia-Oceania bowls champions, the election of Dr. Mutlu Turkmen, the CBI president, as a board of director member of the International Humanitarian Games Association, the inclusion of the competitions in the AOBC and CBI calendar, reflection of the competitions in national and international media and the observance of international standards and procedures in the first experience of hosting this sport in Iran were among the prominent features of the aforementioned tournament.
